The Brim Explorer Journey

In Norway’s Arctic waters, Brim Explorer stands out for its commitment to sustainable tourism. Since 2018, they’ve been blending oceanic adventures with environmental stewardship. With hybrid and fully electric vessels boasting panoramic views and comfortable amenities, they offer immersive experiences in Tromsø, Lofoten, Oslo, and Svalbard. Whale watching in Tromsø is their flagship offering, but they’re expanding with two new ships in 2023.

They started with wooden sailing vessels in 2019, experimenting with hybrid electric propulsion, setting the stage for their eco-conscious approach. Brim Explorer’s dedication to minimizing their impact on marine ecosystems underscores their vision for responsible tourism, inspiring travelers to explore the seas sustainably.

“We have looked at several systems, but iHelm is the system that shows the most potential to provide the information and feedback we need to improve operations and save fuel, and ultimately money in our operation.”
