Cetasol participated for the first time with our own stand at the 30th edition of SMM (Shipbuilding, Machinery, and Marine Technologies) in Hamburg. Here is our angle from the exhibition.
Three of us arrived in Hamburg on Monday afternoon, September 12. The team that left for the exhibition included Ida Verde our Growth Manager, Veronica Söderbergh our Marketing Associate, and our CEO and Co-Founder Ethan Faghani.
On Tuesday, September 13, the first day of the fair, we took our place at Hall A4 stand 309. We had a model of our solution and a screen that displayed an animation video in the startup area. The video showed how our product iHelm works, what it does, and how commercial vessel captains can utilize it. It was very exciting for us to introduce our product at such a large and prestigious fair attended by thousands of people from the industry.
On Wednesday, September 14, our CEO and Co-Founder Ethan Faghani gave a pitch about our company. The pitch took place at the Startup Day & Night event, where fellow startup companies also took part. Then, on Thursday, September 15, Ethan held a presentation on the Green-Transition Stage. The topic of the presentation was about the Power of AI, and how it can be a part of the process toward a sustainable maritime.
Overall, SMM Hamburg allowed us to meet many people from the industry, and introduce ourselves and our product. The exhibition also allowed us to show our sustainability vision. We had great conversations, meetings, and a chance to network with a lot of wonderful people. We returned home to Gothenburg with lots of new connections and inspiration.
“We were very happy with the outcome of the event. We got to meet friends and customers as well as make new contacts.” Ethan Faghani, CEO and co-founder of Cetasol says.
